The Hornby Community Centre located at 13526 Steeles Avenue West, Halton Hills, Ontario was originally constructed as a Methodist Church c. 1870's. It is a typical nineteenth-century worship centre that remains in fair condition. The Hornby Community Centre has not been used as a full-time church since 1968. Since that time, it has been re-purposed as a community centre, and specifically, it was leased to the Hornby Cooperative Nursery School, to provide day-care services. The daycare ceased operations in November 2014. The building has not been used since that time. 

The Town is looking to partner with a qualified contractor to provide all labour, material and equipment necessary to demolish the existing buildings, including foundations and cap and abandon their related services at 13526 Steeles Avenue West, Halton Hills, Ontario.  The Hornby Community Centre was originally constructed as a Methodist Church, c. 1870's.  It's  a typical nineteenth-century worship centre that remains in fair condition.  The Contractor must brace and secure the existing church spire, safely remove it and transport it safely to 11620 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown.

NOTE 1: The Contractor must have a member on their team who has a membership,  in good standing, with the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP).
