The Town of Halton Hills, Recreation & Parks Department, is seeking qualified General Contractors for the purposes of small park, playground, and park related trail construction. This includes both new feature construction or removal and replacement of existing park features. The purpose of this Request for Prequalification (“RFPQ”) is to establish a list of qualified Contractors to bid on a subsequent blanket order contract.

The selection of Contractors will take place through a two-stage process:

Stage 1: Pre-Qualification (January 2024)

Stage 2: Request for Tender process. Those pre-qualified contractors will be asked to bid unit rate pricing for work. The intent is to issue this stage during February or March of 2024.

The scope of the blanket order is to supply and install all materials relating to general park and trail construction. These projects are generally minor in nature such as playground replacement, revitalization projects or upgrades within an existing park ranging in value from $15,000 to $100,000 each.

The Town’s intent is to establish a long-term relationship with one (1) General Contractor, and this contract would be for a one (1) year period, beginning spring 2024 to April 30, 2025, with four (4), one (1) year options to renew.
